Check out these pictures of the last tagging expedition taken by Agnes on a disposable (!!) camera - I think they are great!! Look at the beautiful patterns on this shark. What a marvellous creation! That is a remora (sucker fish) next to the shark below. A big thank you to Agnes for sending me her pictures. And, nice surprise, here is Brent tagging elephant seals - check out the East African Whale Shark Trust T shirt!! Â I still have some spaces left for the acoustic tagging expedition coming up this weekend so contact me if you are interested! Have a nice day folks!

Wow…what amazing pictures!!! I love the elephant seals…they just let you walk right up to them? Ah, what a dream it would be to come along on a tagging expedition! At least we have this blog to live vicariously through you and your team…so thanks!

Well put Christine, I think we’d all like to give it a try. Really quite remarkable how these sharks let you get so close to them! I see Brent is taking no chances with these elephant seals…they don’t seem to mind him in the least. Can you tell us about the eating habits of these whale sharks one of these days, I’m very curious.

Thanks for your comments guys. You should come and join us for the next expedition. You have until November to plan and think about it! Theresa, whale sharks eat plankton - so the biggest fish in our oceans feeds upon the smallest. It reminds of the song from the Lion King “Circle of Life”.

Ah Nimu, I believe I would be without husband and job if I went out on a whale tagging expedition…lol!
